Job description

The Business Analyst/Quality Assurance Engineer (QA Engineer) is responsible for requirements definition, user story documentation, and quality assurance activities. This individual will strike a balance of writing technical requirements and user stories, translating them to test cases and leading and executing testing and QA activities. Ensuring the initiatives for this project are closely aligned with client requirements and the initiatives and testing are completed on-time, within scope and budget and with an extremely high quality of deliverables is a priority. Local/proximity to Nashville, TN is preferred.


Essential Function

  • Defines project scope, deliverables, roles, and responsibilities in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Convert roadmap features into smaller user stories
  • Collaborate with project manager on user story and requirement roadmap planning and prioritization
  • Write clear and well-structured business requirements and/or user stories by communicating and validating requirements with relevant stakeholders
  • Write clear and well-structures test cases and test plans
  • Follows a method of change management including ownership of a documentation, communication plans, process training, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group; developers, product owners, and subject matter experts
  • Identifies, clarifies and communicates
  • Manage scope throughout the project duration. Maintains accurate documentation, scope and acceptance criteria.
  • Executes testing of test cases and document clear bugs and troubleshooting steps for the development team
  • Develops integrated business and information flow studies. Provides technical support to clients. Conducts technical studies and evaluates business requirements and technological alternatives; recommends appropriate solutions.
  • Identify automation opportunities
  • Create reports, dashboards and visualizations to understand business performance
  • Analyze process issues and bottlenecks and to make improvements
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools
  • Perform data discovery, analysis and modeling
  • Travel into the Atiba office as needed and attend client meetings in Nashville
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

3-5 years of Business Analyst / QA Engineer work experience

PC experience, especially in Microsoft Office applications

Successful completion of a drug and background screen

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Jira Atlassian, Confluence and automated test tools

Local proximity to Nashville, TN is preferred.
