Job description
The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is responsible for gathering requirements and providing technical project planning, management and oversight for key initiatives, along with project implementation for our clients. Ensures initiatives and projects are closely aligned with client requirements and are completed on-time, within scope and budget, and with an extremely high quality. The TPM will ensure the optimum mix of cost, schedule, performance, and system supportability throughout the life cycle (design, development, testing and evaluation, production and disposition) of each program and will analyze alternative problem solutions and present a case for the recommended solutions with a detailed analysis of risks and return on investment. BA & QA experience is a plus. Must be an authorized US worker residing within the United States. Locality to Nashville preferred.
Job requirements
Essential Function
Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams through the full life cycle of software projects and interact with all levels
Clearly set, manage, and communicate expectations with team members and clients across technical, operational, and business leadership
Create detailed project plans that clients and team members can readily follow
Assigns and monitors work of technical personnel, ensuring that project steps are in alignment with business objectives, on-time and within budget
Defines project scope, deliverables, roles, and responsibilities in collaboration with stakeholders and business partners
Manages and appropriately escalates: delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes associated to the product development initiatives for our clients
Execute change management including ownership of documentation, communication plans, process training, etc.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group; developers, product owners, and subject matter experts
Exercises broadly delegated authority for planning, directing, coordinating, administering, and executing many routine and complex projects/programs
Identifies, clarifies and communicates project vision, goals, risks, and objectives and how these tie into, support, or impedes client strategic objectives
Manage scope throughout the project duration. Maintains accurate program estimates, timelines, project plans, documentation, and regular status reports
Resolves conflicts and navigates client challenges by demonstrating leadership and appropriate decision-making competencies
Travel as needed and attend client meetings in Nashville as needed
Log hours worked; daily and with accuracy in Atiba’s time tracking system

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience3-5 years of technical project management experience or equivalent work experience
PC experience, especially in Microsoft Office applications
Technical background or understanding of software development processes and technologies
Experience with the Atlassian Jira, MS Office Suite
Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project methodologies
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
